Some loosely held beliefs on how money will flow to creators: - "sponsor" - get status, appreciation or access. - "collect" - acquire aesthetic artifacts for status - "invest" - get upside from being early - "buy" - get useful services

I think these are fundamental social contracts that are hard to change, and content coins don't fit neatly into them today. It could be collect but the aesthetics are not dialed in. Why am I collecting 1,123,890 of these? Will having this give me smile when i see it next? Will someone have a conversation with me about this? It could be invest (or speculate), but where do gains come from? Creators don't want to pump for good reason, so the best hope is that it becomes a meme despite the creators intent. Pump works because meme creators are unabashedly pumping. There also isn't any scarcity or exclusivity (literally billions of things!) It could be sponsor but it feels so indirect. The creator doesn't even know who is buying their coins in most cases and they don't get any status in return.

To be clear, I think it's great to experiment with new things for creators. I think there is another iteration of content coins that could do really well. It might only be a few clicks away from what we have today, but those differences are very important and we need to iterate towards them.

Clean mental model 👍 Unfortunately, the current options lack clarity and alignment: sponsor -> moxie? zora? opensea? collect -> content coin? but which one? invest -> moxie token or clanker coin? buy -> clanker or hypersub? Too much coin kills the coin 🤯

HEAR ME OUT: what if Every post supports your token (with the little buy button on the frame) but the actual post image is a 1 of 1 NFT up for bid — so as an artist, you’re creating excitement every day around your singular coin AND producing a new piece of art that could be a unique one of one

totally agree. one area that’s ripe for experimentation is commissioning. i worked on this issue for two years, many insights but no killer product. yet still intrigued by the potential the transformation of the “master” vs “servant” model of “employment” and “independent contracting” as a co-empowering decentralized commission.
