Discussed with Mike, the problem is some spammy users triggering the bot to mention other users. I like mike's suggestions of letting bots opt in to a tag, we'll do that soon. But in the mean time: 1. If your bot is replying to the person that invoked it, that's fine. 2. If your bot is replying to or mentioning people that did not invoke it, that's less fine. Especially if a user can trigger your bot to mention another user

Just noting that @survey tags people that invoke it, but who invoke it in frame (by rewarding Q&A answers) which is probably not recognized by the algo. My guess is we’re getting punished for that - can you confirm?

Hello v I thought I should bring to your attention that a lot frames are having difficulty getting information from the hubs resulting in frame errors

small idea, could a flag like ~@mention let the tag be clickable while not notifying the person. I actually would use this a lot, from discussing warpcast but never wanting to actually tag the purple echelon with the attached algo hit

We do the same for our movie game. Only players get a message. Also, they can unsubscribe by replying stop.

do ppl actually relaly care this much about a little superflous tagging and or “unwanted” replies etc…. where is the data on this? why is it such a big deal? is that actually representative of most users? or is it just catering to a small subset of users that are apparently super high maintenance and cant handle posting into a PUBLIC FORUM and getting interactions that they dont “like”? like is that really what all of this is all about? do most actual ppl using this app alot even really care much at all? esp. when they have block and muting abilities? what gives?

Thank you for taking this into account. It does become an issue when tips are being used and we want to support others through auto means. Sometimes that goes unnoticed or left without interaction and the last thing needed is for these actions of folxs who are working hard to remove the spam label or stay out of the bucket after working months on showing personal worth. (myself included with the whole shadowban months) being able to utilize these amazing tools built is important and to allow organic flows of conversation.

Bots should only mention users they were invoked by, avoid spam

literally today I bought fan tokens moxie, and for some reason two bots sent me notifications at once, for me this is considered spam, since I don't need this information, because I already know what I'm buying. And on top of all this, I'm not even subscribed to them
