the Italian translation for persimmon is "cachi", which is the second person present tense of the verb "cacare" (trad: "to shit"). do I need to add anything? 🤣🤣 persimmon is one of the worst fruit of all. on the same disgusting level of passion fruit. maybe we should start a tomatoes vs persimmons battle...

Where are the pics of this glorious persimmon? My favorite persimmon I’ve ever had is by a family run no frills Japanese restaurant in NYC that takes wedges of juicy persimmon, then fries each wedge with a very thin coating in tempura batter. It is then served with yuzu and matcha salt. It has an extremely amazing texture 🥹 and the restaurant has the most excellent tempura batter and delicate fry skills - even better than a lot of high end Japanese restaurants I’ve been to 🫶 will have to find or take a pic soon and share it here!
