What are your biggest annoyances about cast threads in Farcaster? Known: composing threads on web.

Really glad you guys are asking for feedback on this, itโ€™s critical and this is the reason we have full stopped marketing on Warpcast. 1. Threads didnโ€™t work before at all it was a panic attack to write them etc. thread composer was a huge announcement, but itโ€™s still not usable on mobile no matter how much someone says it is. Itโ€™s a panic attack to use, needs desktop asap 2. Threads are farcaster are still not threads. They are just a main post and then you have to click to see the sub comments. This defeats the entire purpose of long for content and when someone goes to a post they donโ€™t know itโ€™s a thread. See image:

there is no "thread" logic when casting. you just have to keep replying to your own cast, sometimes i havent finished replying and already have replies on my own cast.

Just please give me a schedule cast button in the composer Nobody has made a v2 frame for it yet afaik and even if they do itโ€™s gonna be a lot of extra taps for something that would be much more user friendly if native I donโ€™t want to use an alt client. I donโ€™t want to think about it. I just want to cast a banger 3 hours from now.

When viewing a cast reply thatโ€™s very deep within a thread, the scroll position starts at the top, forcing us to manually scroll down to see the reply. Example: /count

adjacent to threads, but when replying to a long cast i would love to see the entire cast in the composer. hard to finish replying without referring back to the content would be amazing if you could scroll up and see the rest of the thread you're replying to as well

Thread organization is difficult to follow, i.e. need to keep expanding. I think a quick caveat, using twitter as a north star here is probably the wrong idea because threads suck there as well, its why they have a paid mode to make reading single author threads easier. I would suggest looking holistically at some of the longer back and forth conversations and how they would be better structured (I am guessing the team has done this internally @v, this for other people reading this post ๐Ÿ™‚). Actionable feedback: Simple things, like a small amount of branching supported on the top x replies would probably go pretty far. I think hacker news strikes a good middle ground. On mobile its a bit harder because you have much less space to work with but I think just allowing the "most engaged" thread (ranking based on author replies, total likes, then total replies smthing similar) and having that default to 4-10 replies unrolled would be an interesting experiment.

Threads shouldnโ€™t look like regular casts, you canโ€™t tell itโ€™s a thread on TL and profile until clicked and even then there is no difference between threads and replies, nested replies also hinder the thread reading experience

Reading long conversations is still a pain. Having to tap into a cast after noticing it has a reply that may or may not be relevant to the conversation.

- not surfacing replies - scrolling when opening a reply that's too "far" in the thread
