imo the problem that Zora faces right now is similar to the one Farcaster has: not enough interesting and diverse content Once they get more creators, the concept of minting posts will be obvious in hindsight

Don’t think it’s a supply problem, it’s a demand problem, also nothing stopping Instagram from adding tips

Mints aren't tips though. Enjoy is an actual tip, mints are an investment. That I can sell tokens, even for a loss, means it's a totally different mechanic

Even worse! People don’t want to invest in posts, way too midcurve for most, especially if it means they might lose money

The disconnect is that you (Zora) are framing onchain assets as posts. People want to invest in creators. Did you catch the SuperRare meta? Imagine if those assets were liquid. Zora might look and sound like ig, but that's a UX psyop. It's not an actual comp

But creators only accrue value (which justifies the “investments”) if people keep pouring money in Most things that go viral do so through views and memes (which are free) and not mints (or any form on payment) Adding in money inherently adds friction which reduces the viral coefficient
