Last night our bird club successfully summoned the spirit of the northern flicker. We’re hoping this ups the species’ chance of reproducing in our 9-acre NYC park for a second year in a row.

During a farcaster photo walk meet up in NYC we ran into this giant hawk?falcon? near fidi who also looked like he was living it up! @usersteen.eth do you happen to have a photo of the bird?

Red-tailed Hawk Homie ❤️ Most hawks you see perched in cities are RTs. They vary in color but are big, relatively short-tailed, have a certain shape/lük. There are a few falcon types around nyc but they all have versions of the classic eye of Horus style mask.
