Not great outcome actually. Going to be very hard to govern on many counts with a minority.

A minority government is officially the party in power but they can fail to hold the āconfidence of the houseā Basically at any point if the other parties donāt help them reach a threshold of votes on certain issues, namely budget, parliament ādissolvesā and we have to go to election again. The numbers Maz screenshotted were much earlier, now theyāre way closer. Another option is that any party can form a coalition and if they cross the 172 seat threshold the coalition is a majority. Thatās possible between the NDP and liberals here, and Iām hopeful it will happen. For the last four years the NDP propped up a liberal minority without an official minority through a contract called a āsupply & confidence agreement.ā So thereās no reason to believe a minority is a serious problem.
