I’ve been reading about trauma lately, speaking as a basically low/no-trauma person (afaik) and one of my conclusions is that the majority of the world is low-grade trauma-driven and it manifests as being in war mode by default, peace mode by exception. Guess I’m rather lucky in having the reverse orientation.

Seeing this as well. It’s almost impossible to go through life without accumulating some trauma. The child-adult relationship almost guarantees it. What’s also interesting is the how and why some people are buried by their trauma and others (like you) aren’t.

Tangentially. Read once that those who acquire PTSD from war (over those that didn't) were found to have it correlate with childhood trauma. Unfortunately don't have a source atm, so could be wrong.
