Suuuper inspired by @afrochicks… I did a 20min row today; I can’t remember the last time I did 20 min of cardio. 

I have quite a bit of experience rowing. I thought I could maintain a 2:05 split time; I was at 2:04.9 with 90 seconds left and then I went as hard as I could for the remainder. 

I could hit 5k if I lower the split to 2:04 and start to sprint at 2min!

What would be a good elite/pro time for a 5km row? Wondering how similar it is to running.

senior mens open weight wr is 14:53

womens is 16:54!

Not too dissimilar to running then, interesting. Good luck on smashing it in twenty mins. I'm sure it won't take you long.

Ah okay that's interesting. 6km seems like an odd distance to choose, though. I wonder why that is?

5k isn’t an actual rowing distance; pros do 6k and it varies quite a bit by gender and size. There a different classes like boxing
