Most founders should be going to the office instead of conferences. Yet, the exact opposite happens in crypto. Way more than any other market. Why?

Yes. I think because often going to a conference feels like work is getting done when, in fact, it’s largely not. Activity gets confused for progress. Not sure why it’s worse in crypto. Perhaps inertia of early/existing cultural norms, certain founder profile attracted to it, etc.

I agree there’s a lot of that. I do appreciate the value of events early on, it was a small event where I was “converted” back in 2016. But some people seem to make it their life’s work.
