how come it's easier to focus if i drink coffee on an empty stomach, eating anything more than a granola bar in the morning can make me lose focus, anyone else?

Skipping breakfast (ie intermittent fasting) + black coffee (usually cold brew) works quite well focus wise for me in the morning. The coffee is less effective if I break the fast.

the challenge is spending time thinking that you are hungry and lose focus because of that but yes. this also works for me. breakfast ends up being a hidden source of procrastination
