I think it's good to be realistic about this. Yes kids will enrich your life, but for those who lived a very social life prior to kids there will be sacrifices and events or gatherings you'll miss out on. For some those sacrifices will be harder than others.

The most fun I've had in ages was celebrating my 40th bday a few weeks ago with my friends and all our kids running around. I've always hated doing anything for my birthday but this was so great. 😊
