blaming this on the user/media instead of recognizing the flaws in the systems is exactly why crypto is where it is and has no hope of reaching mainstream usage any time soon.

lol can’t believe they wrote all that over $1,500. That said, a lot of these exchanges (CEXs and DEXs) could do more to provide accessible video and written tutorials for users for these kinds of things.

It's true, this company seems like it sucks in many ways.

Applying the case to the industry as a whole feels more like local news or an opinion piece.

I can't wait for the day that this is a non-issue.  It took 50+ years for traditional transactions to become easy and ubiquitous - we have the benefit of all that knowledge today.

Two thoughts: 1) crypto is not easy, 2) if it's too complex for you don't play with it or write about it.

This really feels more like a Revolut problem than anything else. All I’m seeing here is “Centralized profit driven corporation refuses to offer basic support for valued customer.”

In the new Coinbase Wallet / Base App, I think the entire focus should be on new users, not power users.

This means taking things that power users of crypto may love (eg, chain switching) and hiding it in the recesses of Settings.

We should build a "can't fuck up" kind of experience for new people.

Even as a long time full time crypto worker, I have fucked up sending funds to Coinbase once. 

Multichain is incredibly unforgiving. 

User: “Wait they are both EVM where did my funds go?”

Service provider: “Blackhole and we have not liabilities here”
