A VC meddling in your pre-PMF product sounds like a nightmare to be avoided. Where I feel VC's can be great is helping you to build a post-PMF product -> company. They can essentially provide access to the types of networks that seasoned CEO's have – partnerships, legal, hiring, lobbying, comms, etc.

(Since I only have high confidence in a small number of VCs actually doing the above, it's a good reason to focus on Angels until you have PMF.)

What’s the benefit of angels? Sounds like they have less skin in the game so they just let you build?
