After the revision, the total number of new jobs added in October and November was 8000 lower than before the revision. In 2024, the number of employed people increased by 2.2 million (an average monthly increase of 186000), lower than the growth of 3 million people in 2023 (an average monthly increase of 251000). The unemployment rate in December remained relatively stable at 4.1%. After rising earlier in 2024, the unemployment rate for the past seven months has remained between 4.1% and 4.2%.
