Try to make 3 piles: throw, give, keep. If in doubt, throw (away)

I moved apartments many times, and my best tip is to purge as much as possible. I used to post on Craigslist that I had free stuff next to the dumpster, and most of it got picked up by other people.

Well just go though it can be the only tip imo

Enslave friends instead of hiring a moving company

Feel this! I moved recently and it helped to break packing down into smaller parts and start with an easy room. Once you get going, you start to see the end. Good luck with the move!
