sooo real talk, what does someone have to do to get an art patron nowadays? does that exist anymore? i want one of those old-fashioned setups where they pay my expenses for a year and they can keep everything i produce. i just want uninterrupted time to work on honing my crafts; time to improve and explore. because right now i am so overloaded and art has the unfortunate tendency to be forced into the backseat.

Firstly, you have to manifest this. What's that is properly visualised you have go to places where people who have money hang out. As you live in Switzerland that should not be too hard.

You can find art residencies, but they probably wont pay for all of your expenses

There are positions like this at universities. They tend to be reserved for professors with tenure. There are the occasional residencies for a semester or school year for an exceptional artist. To think farther outside the box, there are towns in the world with declining populations and an oversupply of housing. The governments there pay ppl to live there.

Maybe look into WOOFing? Volunteer 4-5 hours a day for food and board and the rest of your time is free to create?
