yaaa, BUT, e.g. Chrome on iOS seems to be artificially held back. E.g. Chrome iOS users cannot add a webapp to home screen. And I doubt that‘s caused by Google being late and more by Safari having privileged OS access. It‘s so sad that these companies put their profit motive before building an open web.

just saw that they‘re adding that. Still weird to me that there‘d be a premium OS-level feature for Apple-internal devs for a critical amount of time. How is that not anti competition?

Third party browsers on iOS are crippled. They all use webkit and don't have the same privileges as Safari does. Might as well just use Safari.
