conceding a valid point to someone in your outgroup feels weirdly similar to (very inexperienced!) meditation - there’s a distinct awareness/pause that happens not a trader, but I wonder if switching your long/short bias feels the same 🤔

there’s a system 1 / system 2 mental switch that happens, but also a subtle physical change…! “strong opinions, reasonably strongly held” 😅

When it’s actually valid I try very hard to stop myself from saying “Yes… but xyz” because then it’s not truly conceding.
