trying a local roaster’s single origin washed process from a 4th generation guatemalan producer, Finca Santa Margarita. the estate is largely run by women and hosts an on-site school, clinic, and reforestation program. pretty cool.

I’ve had coffee from these guys. Usually it is pretty fruity; at least what I’ve tried. I prefer the lighter fruity coffees so I’ve always been pretty blessed living in a city with like 100 microroasters leaning towards the lighter end of the spectrum.

I think what’s happened is most of the roasters added a few dark roast options to their product lineup to appeal to a broader audience.
