I am still processing Devcon talks but so far, this talk from @koeppelmann.eth has been by far the most thought provoking! I love the idea of native L2 that live closer to L1. Less centralization risk, easier / better composability with L1... it would be a great addition to the current "arm's length" L2 paradigm. https://app.devcon.org/schedule/9RNWDX

I wonder what you think @vitalik.eth of the native roll-up proposal. I am very enthusiastic about it and wonder if that sentiment is shared.

I liked the talk, but not the conclusion. We don't need the EF, or even any form of community consensus, to deploy based ZK-rollups. Many teams are working on this right now (like Taiko). There is no advantage in having an "official" version, you can get all the benefits, to users and the ecosystem, from these L2s. Multiple teams working in parallel will bring results faster than a concentrated community effort.
