Why do verifications matter? 

Developers building on Farcaster (including Warpcast) want to measure success by seeing how many "real" users they can acquire. 

Farcaster's onchain fee makes it harder to create fake profiles, but does not make it impossible. 

Spam labels are very useful in identifying users who are good casters and repliers. But they're not always the right way to think about valuable users. For example, if you're building Farville you may be totally OK acquiring a user who lurks and plays a lot of games. So you shouldn't ignore everyone who doesn't get a perfect score on the spam labels. 

Verifications provide a third layer - they require some proof of work done via other networks (phone, social etc) and are hard to reliably spoof. Developers can use verifications, spam labels and other tools to target users for their apps and measure how well they're doing.

One of my problem on farcaster is that my feed shows me a lot of things i don't want to see (people i don't follow who's cast has been liked by someone i follow)

How do you guys improve your feeds? When i get a friend on twitter i give them my lists (solana core devs, macro/eco gurus etc ...)
