If you want to make a decent income on social media, you have to post a LOT.

But what if you have job or kids or you're just not chronically online like some of us are?

Scheduling.

herocast.xyz and @supercast both have scheduling features.

If you have limited time for content creation, create your content in batches during your free time, schedule it all, and then you can respond in real-time to comments on your phone wherever you are.

This works if you're on a different time zone than the peak times of your preferred platform as well.

Photo and video content is especially well-suited to scheduling.  Take a bunch of photos on the weekend, schedule one for each day of the week in /itookaphoto 

At first, scheduling might feel weird.  It can feel inauthentic to not post in real-time.

But it's still YOU posting.  It's still YOUR story you're telling (or your brand story).  You're just time traveling a bit through the magic of technology.

I have LOTS of themes for my content.  I have my "word algorithm" that helps to give my content a bit of direction.  

From March to August, I do a lot of exploring and experimenting with new ideas and new platforms.  Because that's the slow time on social media.  

Then in September, I start my themes.  

100 Days to 2025 starts September 23rd - that's an annual event to kickstart a 100 Day habit of doing one thing each day to set yourself up for a successful new year.  

No Swear November is another annual event - a personal discipline that my fans get a kick out of, and that some join in on with me.  I started that in 2016 and discovered it made me a better writer - I swear like a sailor, but when you *can't* swear, you have to rethink so much of how you're expressing yourself.  So I kept it going.

But it's also important to be watching what's trending so you can tap into that immediate energy as well.

what’s the structure for that scheduling? do you have a “core theme” daily, weekly, etc that you craft this scheduling around?

Good to know!  I've been using @supercast more and more, it's got other features I really like, too.  Like one-click Moxie and Degen claims.

I use a recaster for the scheduling cast. And it works like a charm. Herocast has 3 cast limits for free and supercast is totally paid. On the other hand you can use recaster to post unlimited cast.

I set a touch grass timer for myself every two hours. Get up, move around, go outside if it's a nice day.

Thank you for the reminder about scheduling. I think I'm going to try herocast first. I AM chronically online, but I want to be online less. I need to schedule THIS and also my time away from it. I finally realized that the only way to reduce time on here is to fill my time with other things that take me away from it.
