Today on Threads I was told anarchists are liberals in disguise and that they're working on behalf of the empire. Just in case you're wondering how it is on other social media...

How you liking Threads overall btw? Been meaning to branch out but Bluesky is too much of a left wing echo chamber for me. Sure as hell not going back to Xitter.

Honestly, it's fucking nuts. It's easy to get a LOT of traction, but it's a lot of bots and reactionary bullshit.

Fun. On the political scale, is it more to the right like X, or somewhere more in the middle? I always had the impression that threads is more for influencer/celebrity types.

It's really siloed, a lot like Facebook. But there's a LOT of leftist/liberal infighting. A LOT. It's nuts. Lot of "callouts" and shit. Not so much influencers as people trying to build an audience and using Threads easier reach to do that - monetization is limited so it's not yet full of influencers.

How often do you see people pushing others to join/read their substack? Not sure if they penalize for sharing links the way Xitter does, but I know engagement bating is just as prevalent there.

Been thinking about expanding my own audience. FC is great but it's still very small. Only thing that gives me the ick about threads is that I have to have an insta account. Will need to sleep on it.
