We're in a very different phase of crypto than we've ever been in before. Most people coming onchain today are doing so in an entirely different way from the last few classes of users. With so many new networks, apps and GTM strategies the standard onboarding process of buying tokens on an exchange, setting up a wallet, switching networks, etc. will all be pushed to the background. The great part is it's never been easier to make your first transaction. The tradeoff is we lose out on a lot of the deep crypto culture that makes people feel so invested and committed to the long term growth of the space. Communities are more segmented than ever and with everyone trying to win distribution - finding PMF really comes down to how well you can execute and how likely your team is able to reach net new pockets of users who have historically been either turn off to or uninterested in crypto in the first place.

Examples on areas I'm working on this week to help grow DAUs: 1. Work with communities to add reward distributions to high quality Farcaster users including to Warpcast rewards winners. Farcaster becomes the defacto place for high quality users getting rewarded -> brings in more high quality users 2. Help increase Warpcast Wallet usage so that there's a thriving ecosystem of users that transact with frames onchain -> brings in more devs and interesting apps where they will get more distribution and usage

I joined the Farcaster team last week with the focus on growing the developer ecosystem so wanted to share my perspective. I've gotten feedback from 100+ builders on Farcaster (thank you for sharing with me!) and the #1 pain point by a long shot was needing more DAUs on Farcaster (also #1 issue we had with Bountycaster). Growing DAUs drives what we prioritize at Farcaster With a lean team, there's limited resources and we can't build everything. Growing the developer ecosystem means creating a place where devs are able to have meaningful usage for what they build and if they choose, be able to build sustainable businesses. This is ultimately how to get a flywheel going of new devs and users coming into the ecosystem. It's also making sure devs have the proper tools and resources they need to build!
