@tfv Union, the cross chain settlement layer, announced the launch of the Union Foundation, an independent organization dedicated to building a more secure, decentralized, and interoperable Web3. Its core focus is to fund initiatives that support the Union network and incentivize its development through maintenance, ongoing development, and creation of decentralized applications (dApps), including grant programs and UnionFellowship programs. He joined the agency in February 2023 and led enforcement actions against companies such as Binance, KuCoin, FalconLabs, etc. In a statement announcing his resignation on January 17th, Ian McGinley stated that "making the CFTC the primary enforcement agency for digital asset enforcement" was listed as his top priority during his tenure. @tofake

Coinbase Chief Legal Officer Paul Grewal stated in a post: "We have finally received an uncut version of the OCP2.0 letter from the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). This demonstrates a coordinated effort to block various cryptocurrency activities, from basic BTC trading to more complex products. According to TheMinerMag, the hash rate of FoundryUSA has increased from 157EH/s in early 2024 to approximately 280EH/s in December.
