100 USDC for... 1. defining with me what qualifies a user to be low quality / spam 2. creating a list of FIDs of all low quality / spam users 3. creating an easy way for me to mute all those FIDs 4. creating a way for me to repeat #3 daily / weekly will make time to meet with you today or tomorrow :) @bountybot

@pixel has done some work in this direction, using reaction:cast ratio to identify and rank the spammiest users of the past 7 days. https://dune.com/queries/3035483/5046273

@bountybot add 20 USDC also i have some ideas. been talking to @rish about this -- you can use @neynar webhooks to automatically hide/ban casts with a certain phrase in them (eg $degen or "follow back"). this lets you declare your channel a no-shilling zone or whatever

@ghostlinkz.eth you have a way to filter out for outcasters newsletter right? you may know your criteria and how to do it programmatically. muting as far as I know is manual procedure as it pertains to only warpcast as client, not the protocol. There fore easy repeat would work by providing ted with a list of links

have you defined a low-quality user yet? some ideas: - more than 50% of content includes ticker or url - beyond 1:100 follower:following ratio - less than 1 in 20 casts is liked

1. feels more philosophical now that we’re achieving hypergrowth. i think my guiding principle is content as a result of a real > simulated filter.

I’m hopeful (and quite confident) that this will be mostly a solved problem in a few weeks via: - muting channels - muting casts - muting words - an ML classifier to nerf spammy casts - repeated violations results in the account being nerfed

I would like to see a client that maximizes noise-control for users. I.e. allow the user to fully tailor their experience based on what they want to see, read, and hear from their feed and if they distaste a cast make it super easy for them to disengage with that caster/type of post/channel/group.

Would be awesome if we could assign reputation to accounts so ones we or our follows trust/non spammy gets surfaced better. Number of followers or likes etc have poor sybil resistance qualities.

Hmmm don’t know but I mark every one that spams. But I am afraid if this backfires at me.For example at X you get shadowbanned if you block too many .Does this also applies here ?
