one of the biggest takeaways i have from yapster is similar to a big takeaway i had from polymarket. if the app and the consumer experience is compelling, no one cares what chain its on. spend more time building great consumer apps and less time fighting culture chain wars.

yapster is still a W within our inner circle. if we optimise for building fun and instantly sharable apps outside our crypto circle, chain becomes irrelevant. all they have to make sure of is to support cross-chain transactions - ie participate in the app no matter what form of crypto you hold on any chain. chain that wins is that offers fast and cheaper transactions.

to a degree. i don't think anyone woulda tried it if it was on Tezos or even Blast at this point. I also think Polymarket would be 3x bigger if it was on Solana

Agree. No one cared where friend.tech, Polymarket, or Pump.fun launched. People come for the experience and fun, not for the chain

Very true. The key is building something useful. Tribal wars over chains is irrelevant.

Polymarket still felt like too many steps for mainstream. We tend to forget that creating a wallet alone feels like setting up a new bank account for many. Not something they look forward to and that's just one of many onboarding hurdles.
