one of the biggest takeaways i have from yapster is similar to a big takeaway i had from polymarket. if the app and the consumer experience is compelling, no one cares what chain its on. spend more time building great consumer apps and less time fighting culture chain wars.

to a degree. i don't think anyone woulda tried it if it was on Tezos or even Blast at this point. I also think Polymarket would be 3x bigger if it was on Solana

+1 big time hence tagging @ted again bc let's face it most chains are ghosts, have almost zero TVL or are unusable. have you been on something like Celo, Cosmos recently? I recently did for tax reporting purposes and it beggars belief how ancient the UX felt

i could’ve been more nuanced. if the product is bad, people won’t use it regardless of what chain it is on. if the chain is unusable, then i assume a product built on it would be bad by default? if the product is top tier, people will use it regardless of chain loyalty (polymarket, friend tech, yapster).

100% agreed and with ai agents becoming onchain users the chains won't matter indeed for them I personally only do onchain tx on base and solana discretely let an opportunity pass bc the NFT for accessing an airdrop was on Ethereum Mainnet. Like why? It's 2025...
