Why mint on X when you can mint on Y or Z? I don't think it matters that much?

The way I view it: Zora = artsy, OG, vibey Base = mass market appeal (via tight Coinbase integration) Ethereum = largest liquidity, higher fees hurts transaction-heavy projects (games), onchain media purism (interoperability, main "source of truth" etc)

I have of course collected on Base but don't see myself actually minting on Base too much. Zora is more my vibe so I tend to stick there or OP mainnet lately. Will explore more of Base eventually.

I think zora has managed to cultivate some cultural cache, it feels like a cool place to mint art onchain + cheap fees. Base is great too but definitely feels more straightlaced along with Arb/OP. But in the end, if someone wants the NFT, they probably don't care which L2.

different chains have different audiences so when i release things, i try to be intentional about where i deploy them. sometimes i'll put a version on multiple chains bc i know some ppl may want something but won't want to bridge. it's good to have options 🤷🏻‍♀️

Because the thing you really want is on Zora. If an artist I love has minted on Zora, I'll have to use Zora. If they use Base, I'll have to use Base. In an ideal world the network is totally abstracted and you can mint any collectible on any chain just using the assets you have on whatever chain they happen to be on

Not an either / or in my experience as the minter: + minting on ZN is a commitment to growing the network + minting on Base has a larger group for distribution Both @zora & @base support and promote great projects and mints so the impetus to help you succeed is very present.

Sometimes you may have a specific audience or purpose eg minting something on Base for a Base prop house; or on Zora with paragraph since they are featuring some. If there’s an incentive one might make more sense than others. wen superchain?
