more random thoughts: - happy people are beautiful people - a clock-in-clock-out, nine-to-five-and-nothing-more is a perfectly acceptable approach to work, but it doesn’t work for me (and that’s also acceptable) - elite athletes will play up age groups or compete in different countries to level up their play; i’ve noticed crypto founders who take a similar approach (socialize and learn from successful non-crypto founders) are distinctly different when it comes to focus, a prerequisite for success - more people should smile when they don’t feel like it - sometimes the right person isn’t necessarily the one with whom you want to settle down, but the one with whom you want to take off; a relationship for which commitment signifies the start, not end, of liberty - execution > ideas - when i have kids, i’d feel like a failure if my daughter thought her best chance at generating value is OnlyFans or if my son thought his best chance at an intimate connection is OnlyFans and idk if that’s right

be happy, be courteous, say thank you and please to everyone. It will impact them more than you know. 9-5 isn’t my thing either though work life balance is a struggle for me working in a global company. Finding a balance that works for oneself is key. Avoid burnout at all costs. Once you accept the losing balance it’s hard to get it back. Elite athletes will do whatever to be challenged, they need it. They crave a challenge to push themselves. That’s what makes them better. Get out of your bowl and into the pond, lake, ocean! It’s hard to know what the future holds with social but people should not feel like they need to sell their physical body to find worth. They are valuable and have plenty to offer without giving themselves away.

Yes!!!, I totally agree. People should smile more even when they don’t feel like it. And it’s nothing to feel unsure about with the OF statement, the value you bring into this world isn’t OF, so it would be weird if your daughter thought otherwise.

For the last point, how would you feel if your son/daughter said they were in love with an AI chatbot/agent? Would AI relationships devalue traditional relationships, or improve them? Like if everyone had an AI partner to supplement their human partner. If that was the norm. Where does monogamy fit in? Bit of a tangent but your last point got me thinking along the lines of AI replacing a lot of onlyfans/porn moving forward and the effect that will have on human relationships. And us older generations inherently being repulsed by something future generations might find completely normal. I wonder if that's how older generations felt about the first interracial relationships, or same sex relationships, and is this just the same thing? If not then what makes this different? AI's are not humans? What is it to be human? haha anyway, I thought that was an interesting tangent and I don't have any answers.

You're absolutely right on the last point. It's a travesty that so many 'kids these days' think that's a path to easy money or a life they think looks cool. When in reality, a lot of people who do it feel miserable about themselves and would give anything to go back and do things differently. Social media is a gift and a curse.

Was just talking to someone over the weekend who holds a 9-5 and doesn't understand why I wouldn't opt for something that was "more secure". He said I work all the time anyway (which isn't exactly true), so he couldn't see the sense in someone like me not just opting for the boss route and "cashing in" to "enjoy my weekends" (which we both were doing). I told him I hadn't had a 9-5 in more than 15 years and was doing just fine, but I sort of just gave up on trying to get him to understand that both ways were actually OK. 🤷‍♂️

I completely agree with what you wrote. I am trying to teach my children to be happy, sincere and diligent. To live for themselves, not for others. But without being selfish. Without exceeding boundaries. But if one day they show the opposite morality and stance, I will still be with them, but this will make them very sad.
