potentially hot take (and i'm guilty of this too, i've done it, and now i will try to no longer do it): the more i see "answer my generic question and i'll tip you in degen" the more it feels like "i'll pay you to be my friend" energy

Im a huge culprit of this lol!! Tbh I just want a quick way to distribute my degen to a large amount of people with low effort on both ends and no bias. Open to different ideas on how to tweak 😊

what's stopping you from asking the same question and tipping w/o saying you'll tip in degen? by proactively incentivizing an action that doesn't need to be incentivized, it makes the answers and engagement feel inauthentic to me

hmmm so my purpose with the qs are to have folks reflect on themselves, not build a relationship with me. Me sending $degen is just excuse to get rid of it. The internal reflection people do is the greatest reward they can give to themselves 😊 I answer my own questions each day and find it rewarding as well

Agreed. If people start to see that genuine content gets tips without explicitly stating "respond here for tips 👇🏻" they'll be far more genuine everywhere. Lazy tipping leads to lazy content, which is the same race to the bottom we came here to escape. It has to start with the people doing the tipping.
