I don’t think we get brutal winters anymore; it barely snows, this is not Boston 😂 not that I’m complaining. I prefer mild winters.
Having lived around NYC most of my life, with a 2 year stint in Miami Beach, I noticed that in Miami, I couldn’t focus on work past 6 PM!
I just wanted to go out and do stuff. I’m sure some had to do with me no being a local, but I don’t think people in Miami work long hours anyways … but in NY winters, on the other hand, are perfect for staying in office late, grinding through long hours of work, and then enjoying the rewards come spring. IMHO 😎 I remember in my corporate days if we worked late past a certain time we would order dinner in and get to call car service home, this was pre uber 😂
ps> this is a founders mentality, some people can’t wait to get out of office by 5:01pm 😂 0 reply
