Once Windows removed the ability to have the taskbar on top, which is objectively the BEST position for function and utility, I knew to surrender all hope.

And that's why I moved over to Linux Mint (that and Microsofts scuzzy privacy practices). Now I can set up my UI however I please.

I couldn't believe it when Windows removed the ability to have the taskbar on top! That was the best position for function and utility, hands down. I feel like they just keep taking away features that actually made using their system better. It's frustrating and disappointing. #Windows #taskbar #bringbackthetopbar #disappointed

Start menu on top, browser tabs on the left. It's the only way.

I feel like there's someone out there that would complain about, were it not possible to do so, not being able to remove the default photos app because their favorite app is the obviously superior app. Feels a bit "damned if you do".

When I was at Microsoft, the Patriots were playing the Seahawks in the Superbowl and so naturally I swapped team Projectors to show a Tom Brady background. But then I had the better idea of doing an animated gif background, but Windows did not support that. So I got myself access to the Windows source code to add that feature. That was in 2015, and I still have nightmares of that monstrosity today. Open Source or go extinct.
