Once Windows removed the ability to have the taskbar on top, which is objectively the BEST position for function and utility, I knew to surrender all hope.

When I was at Microsoft, the Patriots were playing the Seahawks in the Superbowl and so naturally I swapped team Projectors to show a Tom Brady background. But then I had the better idea of doing an animated gif background, but Windows did not support that. So I got myself access to the Windows source code to add that feature. That was in 2015, and I still have nightmares of that monstrosity today. Open Source or go extinct.
