Am I even making a dent? This stuff took off in a rip this year— I’ve been spending a few moments each morning ripping this out of the ground, but it has quite a deep root system sometimes so it’s a bit tedious, but I wanna put some thirsty wildflowers down there and these things gotta go

Those bushes and the tree roots probably have the greatest relationship! The tree roots are pulling up minerals from deep in the earth, the bushes are feeding off it. Not too mention the fungi and microbe connection, they're in perfect symbiosis. But, if you want them gone, bring your hose and let it wet the ground for several hours. Start digging down with a shovel or a pitchfork and begin loosing the roots, pop them out of the ground.

It rained so much last night and I spent 30 minutes this morning pulling them up. I am going to out in some local plants. This garlic mustard is too aggressive! It is new. This is the second season for it. I wanna put in more beneficial plant life for the local fauna that use this “highway”
