are there any human institutions that have zero corruption? at an abstract level, social creatures and zero corruption seem to be at opposite ends

Rephrasing this: does power necessarily corrupt? Which begs the question what is corruption? I guess doing something that helps self instead of group or worse that harms group. Which is shortsighted as helping group helps self more. Question of inability>delayed gratification?

So maybe solution is a system that rewards ability for delayed gratification with power? 🤷🏻♂️

Hypothesis: 1) Our ability to care about things is limited 2) As power goes up, care about power goes up (bc more to lose) 3) Care about integrity must increase to keep up with power 4) If care for power < care for integrity, corruption happens

Yeah good point that it’s hard to precisely define I was thinking corruption is anything which at-scale will harm the group and it’s goals (because one-off instances can be neutral, or even positive, but kick off a slippery slope that ends up negative)
