are there any human institutions that have zero corruption? at an abstract level, social creatures and zero corruption seem to be at opposite ends

Rephrasing this: does power necessarily corrupt? Which begs the question what is corruption? I guess doing something that helps self instead of group or worse that harms group. Which is shortsighted as helping group helps self more. Question of inability>delayed gratification?

Yeah good point that it’s hard to precisely define I was thinking corruption is anything which at-scale will harm the group and it’s goals (because one-off instances can be neutral, or even positive, but kick off a slippery slope that ends up negative)

Hmm, that sounds tricky because corruption usually happens at the centre which is why impact is felt. Location not scale is what gives it ability to harm imo. Usually it’s pretty concentrated too and “trickles down.”
