Next evolutionary stages that I predict: - swarms of drones working together — some with sensors to lead the pack, some with defenses to deter counter-drone systems, and some with offensive payload - completely autonomous drones with heat/signature seeking guidance systems, so they can break line of (radio) sight and chase someone deeper inside a building or bunker - use of drones to commit paramilitary and terrorist attacks against civilians, sabotage against infrastructure, etc outside of war theaters (9/11 was an early form of using manned aircraft for terrorism, now imagine that but with swarms of bots flying into buildings, stadiums, prisons, etc) - I expect gun-like regulations for drone ownership, at least for those powerful enough to carry any meaningful payload, and also drone countermeasures around critical infrastructure (nets, ECM, etc)

the drone footage that are flying around on the internet that I've seen are absolutely insane. This war is a similiar prelude to the next great war, like the russio-jap war of 1905 to the first world war. We are just beginning to see the what the next war might look like.
