farcaster is not sustainable if merkle gets all the funding and does not pass that on to other developers. you can either centralize funding and development or decentralize both. you can’t centralize funding and maintain motivation for decentralized development.

fwiw i have access to funding, just don't want to take it other founders in my position would take different action and probably would add video support much faster in other words — skill issue on my end

appreciate the transparency. no pressure to reveal what your funding sources would be, but if it isn’t merkle, the problem still remains that they suck up the vast majority of farcaster funding and yet still expect devs like you to exist and scrounge around for the remaining scraps of funding sources interested in the space. let me know if this is not the case because that is what it appears to be in the eyes of most people looking in to farcaster development.
