This is the reality: someone has to lose. So either masses of new retail lose and hate crypto or the most powerful man in the world who is dead set on accumulating more power loses what he has on paper and hates crypto. Where does crypto win in this?

An anecdote, I have some friends that bought $50 of Trump coin and are having fun watching it go up and down, sending me screenshots of graphs laughing. I think even if they lose it all they’ll have enjoyed the ride. It’s not a serious amount of money for them at all.

I think the answer is 'onboarding' and fully signaling to the world he's pro crypto but imo it's a very risky way to onboard people and there were plenty of other ways he could have achieved both of those goals without disproportionately enriching himself.

Crypto wins when there are projects that the community *needs*—projects with real utility, innovation, problem-solving, and valuable services. That’s the backbone of crypto. Trump token or shitcoins What do they offer? Nothing! So, the real losers here are them.

Inb4 someone says regulatory clarity cause lmfao no regulations have been clarified nor has there even be a statement on any plans for future that I've seen Lmfao, a bunch of rich dudes, used wealth and power to do what they wanted to acquire wealth, but yep huge win for crypto 🤣🤣
