I'm big on Farcaster. Thanks to everyone who followed and helped me reach this milestone in about exactly a month of using the platform. I really appreciate as well as the people who have followed the /dropglobalnews platform. I think this is a great community and I also like playing around with the crypto angle of it through staking, tipping, and earning engagement.

As I've mentioned earlier I just like the internet generally and am happy to find people who are doing their best to make it a better place for everyone. I encourage everyone using and building Farcaster to do their best and I'm sure that in the future it will attract a wide audience of users and hopefully be remembered as the first wave of second generation social media platforms that offer users a deeper web of relationships and better structure for consuming information.

But over the last decade I’ve become much more left-libertarian, after seeing naked abuses of corporate power. And he’s become more tech-libertarian, as he’s seen cryptography protect rights when laws can’t.

I’m particularly interested in a couple loose ideas right now:

(1) Agents as entertainment - the agent’s interactions with others on social is entertaining in and of itself. The agent builds “real” relationships, has drama, etc. Going deeper than just what it casts.
(2) Tokenizing agents - allowing tokenholders to participate in the agent’s decision-making, including the narrative playing out in (1).
(3) Agents that leverage composability and interoperability outside of Farcaster.

Related to (2), who is working on an agent that responds to the price of its own token?

That is - the price of the agent’s token automatically adjusts the behavior of the agent. Tokenholders signal approval or disapproval of the model’s current parameters/actions through buying and selling the token. (I like @jesse’s term for this, “price is governance”).

Could be an interesting way to get around the cumbersome voting process - like how prediction markets are replacing the painful and inaccurate process of traditional polling. “Push vs. pull,” where money talks.
