How do you decide which book to read next? Historically for me it’s more flavor of the week (based on a friend’s rec, “You Also Might Like” algos, what the library highlights, etc) I’m starting to come around to a more forward-looking, topic-driven approach (kinda like a college syllabus)

Like others here, I keep a list of books I'd like to read. What I choose from that list when the time comes to start something new is largely down to how I'm feeling at the time.
