The argument is that the data is worth the amount of money you spend, but I think there’s definitely work to be done to help make this better.

Unlike Lens, Farcaster data runs on hubs. Hubs can be pricey to run, but in order to get data suitable for an API you need a replicator to write the data from a hub to a database. It prevents the need to pay gas every time you write to the network, but the cost comes out in other ways.

Primarily Cloudflare workers and pages. It’s unbelievably fast with amazing DX. Next time you need a quick typescript server, would highly recommend Hono + worker https://hono.dev/getting-started/cloudflare-workers

Imo the image quality is always #1. It’s been much better since leaving imgur but from the look of replies people are still asking for more. Other apps don’t really have any other photo specific features that Warpcast doesn’t already have. Eg people don’t use the camera or filters on IG anymore

Imagine social media that works like email. Email is a protocol and has clients like Gmail or Yahoo, and emails can go between them. Farcaster is the protocol, where your social posts can be accessed on different clients in a sufficiently decentralized manner
