maybe it was a mistake marketing warpcast features on the farcaster x account? how about applying some product led protocol development energy to marketing as well? feels like the rebranding is a shortcut for better short term conversion at the cost of neutrality and other higher order effects that are unclear

I had this thought too. And when you apply it to some of the other examples you really see how ludicrous this is. Imagine if the OpenSea Twitter account was dead and they only messaged from a second account called Seaport! đ đ¤ˇđźââď¸

I wonder how may builders and users are here because they think Farcaster is âneutralâ or âpermissionlessâ? Seems to me that most here only care about its tight Ethereum support.

in this case weâd see a bunch of people complaining about how Warpcast just wants to capture value themselves and this should instead be acruing to the protocol feels like most of these questions are damned if you and damned if you donât

It's not as simple as a effort into marketing Warpcast improves the brand. Have spent years storytelling and building brand for Farcaster. The mistake was not rebranding the protocol earlier. Again Bluesky (good brand) vs. AT Proto (only devs care) was the correct way to do it.
