Practical, yes. But extremely unsafe for society to use unshielded USDT. Sadly, most people in this space are far more interested in becoming rich than worrying about the harm it will bring to many if widely adopted. Unfortunately it is also extremely risky to ship a privacy layer in this regulatory environment.

You can hate it, but sending usdc or eurc with no tx fees via coinbase wallet is a little game changer. Especially with on/off ramping inside
