Minimal spoiler review of Twisters which I loved. On Twisters. Will word this to avoid spoilers - Glen Powell is a STAR. - it felt like an old school movie. Man against nature. Very 90s and the original was a classic too - opening 10 min sequence was great. - me: “wait is that the new Superman??” - every tornado was different. And some are a direct reference to the 90s movie. - The movie theater shot was 💯 - almost no wokeness or reference to climate change. Pro science! ( except one evil investor) - loved that in the end it went back into the original character ( honestly surprising but in a good way)

Agree. I was a huge fan of the original and loved this one as well. Glen Powell will be the next Tom Cruise. I don't know how many more M:I movies Tom Cruise has left in him. Maybe Glen Powell can be the next Ethan Hunt.

It's a shockingly bad film. Cheesy, plastic acting, awful writing. Most of all boring. We unironically laughed the whole way through and could pretty much predict every line and event that happened as it was clearly written by a bad AI.

Everyone I hear seemed to love that flick. I, personally, hated it. They call it a sequel but there is literally nothing tying the two together, other than one brief glance at the Dorothy V, which looked nothing like the original and was sucked up by an F5. To me, the whole movie was a half assed carbon copy of Twister. If you put them side by side, you would see some real similarities between the two. There was nothing original about it and, to me, seemed like a shameless cash grab by Hollywood. I can’t believe Bill Paxton’s kid had a cameo in it. I feel like that was more disrespectful to his memory more than anything. Bill Paxton was my favorite actor so maybe that’s why it bothers me so much, but that movie was horrible.
