On March 28, a 7.7 magnitude earthquake devastated Myanmar's second-largest city, Mandalay. Whole apartment blocks crumbled like chalk, ancient temples in Bagan were shattered, stone stupas and golden pagodas turned to rubble. Monasteries collapsed. Monks buried. What's gone isn't just lives. It's centuries of memory, spirit, prayer. No one's coming to help. The official death count is low, but that's only because there's no one left to count. Locals are saying it could be tens of thousands. Myanmar was already bleeding. In 2021, the military (led by dog bastard Min Aung Hlaing) overthrew the democratic government. It's been pure violence since: burned villages, mass arrests, airstrikes on children.
