🧵/1 Reasons why Jason Goldberg is the last person you should trust: This techcrunch article from 2020 doesn’t sound anything like MOXIE does it? 👇 but wait, it gets worse, check the comments https://techcrunch.com/2020/10/27/fab-founder-jason-goldberg-is-back-with-moxie-a-new-live-streaming-fitness-marketplace/

Meh. I like what he’s built In MOXIE and am judging it based on what I see, what I can touch. Seems like FUD to me.

I listen to gut not journalists Jason is an honest hard working polite thoughtful individual Easy to shit on ppl, not easy to publicly build a protocol that has benefitted the majority of this platform

Would love to see wakes take on this. I’m definitely not reading all that. All I know is I’ve benefited greatly from the protocol. We can’t all create a winning business the first time around, especially in crypto

While I feel like he’s one of those types of founders who’s typically of shit, this just sounds like some rounds of bad luck above all else. I don’t know if I believe so much moxie due to a lot of the moderately superficial shenanigans that occurred up front, but nothing really is striking at me here like he’s a con man.

jason is a serial founder, this is how it works. not every venture is a smashing success and when they are not you move on to your next thing. i’ve been following jason since the fab.com days and have always been impressed.

Doesn’t seem like he ever set out to hurt anyone. Some things work, others don’t. Takes a lot of resilience to keep building against the odds.

the first thing i learned here was "Never trust someone you don't know" which is pretty obvious. But meaning, even if they have a big following, look to be a nice person, etc. You can't trust them unless you actually get to know them. Only read the first article so far, will dive into some more when I get some more time. One good thing I take away from this, is he has the ability to take something to a high value. BUT: laying off your staff, tells me what i need to know.
