is it fine to watch 3 body problem before reading the books?

so far haven’t done any of the book or show so I’m just tryna figure out what the ideal order of operations is. leaning towards read whole series then watch show

i'd recommend reading 2 and 3 after watching this season, if you've already started - they're on another level

wasn’t sure either and watched the show and now hyped to read the books

haven't seen the show yet, but that's almost always my preference to read the books first 

It's such an interesting piece of Chinese culture, to see sci-fi/fantasy through a different lens. I thoroughly enjoyed that aspect of reading the books

but have noticed that people who read it first are not liking the show

It's fine but the description in the books is so much richer

prob better to read em first bc theres a lot of crazy scifi concepts that were great to experience in my minds eye. that said the characters in the book are pretty one dimensional

If you watch first you don’t have to annoy everyone watching with you saying book was better
